Celebrate Chevrolet's 100 years with the Chevrolet
Centennial Special Edition Corvette. This racing-inspired
appearance package includes bold visual elements to
signify a historic milestone. This special edition includes
red-painted brake calipers, Centennial exterior badging
and the exclusive Carbon Flash Metallic exterior color
along with five-spoke Wheels, 18-inch front and 19-inch
rear, in Black with a Red stripe outline.

Aggressive styling continues on the interior with leather
and sueded microfiber with contrasting, iconic red
stitching. The package also includes custom Centennial
embroidery for the console, seats and mats.

Each detail and individual touch comes together in the
Chevrolet Centennial Special Edition, creating an iconic
appearance that distinguishes Corvette on the road and
in history.

Corvette Convertible is inspired by the speed and force echoing from the world's most legendary racetracks, while remaining on-road ready. Its hydroformed steel structure gives both iconic Corvette shape and strength. It stabilizes the convertible so completely that no additional support is necessary, so relax and simply enjoy Corvette performance.

The standard 6.2-liter LS3 all-aluminum small-block V8 engine powering the convertible produces 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (436 horsepower and 428 lb.-ft. of torque with available dual-mode exhaust). And with its favorable power-to-weight ratio, the convertible performs like a thoroughbred, a 0–60 time of 4.2 seconds on the test track.

This all translates to off-track precision and performance, not to mention efficiency. Offering 26 MPG highway† with manual transmission, the convertible boasts a better highway fuel economy than Porsche 911 Targa 4S, and equals many 6-cylinder sports cars including BMW Z4†.

Launch control—power straight to pavement

Just put your hands on the wheel and your foot to the floor. Corvette Convertible with launch control will do the rest. Included with the short-throw 6-speed manual gearbox, it modulates engine rpm in competitive mode to lay the power down more smoothly while providing consistent acceleration times on the test track. It's a feature for those who like to compete in club-sanctioned closed-course track events, but may just tempt others to start.


Dial up your suspension

Stiffen suspension capability for twisty roads while providing a more compliant ride for city and highway driving with available Magnetic Selective Ride Control™, also included with the Chevrolet Centennial Edition. An electromagnetic coil resides inside each damper piston. When an electrical current is applied—variably controlled by a microprocessor—ferrous particles in the shock fluid instantly bond, making the fluid more flow resistant, effectively stiffening the shock's damping. Conversely, when the electromagnetic field is reduced, the fluid flows more freely, allowing easier suspension movement. Explore two cockpit settings—Tour and Sport.

Open-air exhilaration

Drop the top and experience the physical sensation of cutting through the air with speed and precision. Select either the standard manual top or the available power top that lets you raise the roof in 18 seconds without leaving the driver seat. And even with the top down, you can take advantage of the enclosed trunk space for weekend-getaway luggage or two golf bags.

Both classic and aggressive

Rounded fenders and dynamic lines are classic Corvette design elements that have been the foundation of its exterior design for nearly 60 years. The new seat design includes larger bolsters on the seatback and cushion areas for increased support, especially in high-performance driving, but greatly welcomed for day-to-day driving. Optional sueded microfiber seat inserts complement the new design even further, as does the revised steering wheel featuring model-specific badges, streamlined switch trim, wrapped spokes, better hand placement and thumb grips.

No detail was overlooked in order to create the most luxurious Corvette Convertible interior to date. Padded center console and armrests on all models soften the interior, while the added visual touch of contrasting color stitching—in red, blue and yellow—is available with the Custom Leather-Wrapped Interior Package with sueded microfiber on the 4LT trim level.

Active Handling, run-flat tires and four-wheel antilock brakes help you stay on the road and in control to help avoid crashes in the first place, while standard high-intensity discharge xenon headlamps shed 900 lumens of light onto the road for excellent visibility. And if there's a loss of tire pressure, Corvette Convertible's run-flat tires help enable safe function for some distance at a moderate speed until the tire can be repaired.

In the event of a collision, Corvette Convertible is designed to help keep you and your passengers protected with frontal and side-impact air bags† to help protect you.
