Available Access Packages

For easy and organized access to your tools and cargo, each package includes three exterior, remote–release, side–access panels that can be opened by Remote Keyless Entry. Available on Express Cargo Vans only. Not available with optional driver–side 60/40 swing–out doors or sliding passenger–side door.

Carrying Capacity

The dealer–installed Roof Rack Package lets you add carrying capacity up top. Add the Roof–Mounted Swing–out Ladder Rack Package for improved access to all of your stored items. Both are designed and engineered to perfectly fit your Express.

Whether you're moving people or hauling tools, Express has the capacity. Standard seating for 12 passengers on the 2500, or up to 15 passengers on the extended wheelbase. Standard passenger–side and rear swing–out doors that open wide to provide easy access. Plus, for the driver and passengers, a variety of comfort options and packages.

Interior Amenities

Express Passenger Vans offer spacious comfort for you and all of your passengers. Power windows and rear–passenger air conditioning are standard on all LT models and available on LS. Pass–through rear seats give you maximum storage without sacrificing seating.

Cargo Capacity

1500, 2500 and 3500 regular Cargo Vans have 239.7 cu. ft. of maximum cargo space†, while 2500 and 3500 extended wheelbase models have a massive 284.4 cu. ft.†.

Hydra–Matic Transmission

The standard Hydra–Matic® 6–speed automatic transmission on all 2500 and 3500 models includes Tap–Up/Tap–Down driver shift control and auto grade braking.

Tow/Haul Mode

The innovative Tow/Haul mode system gives automatic transmissions a dual–mode shift program.
This feature raises upshift points to use more of the engine's power for strong acceleration and
raises downshift points to help slow your van using engine braking.

Express passenger van models come equipped with amenities you wouldn't expect from a full–size van. OnStar®† is standard for the first six months. The standard Driver Information Center displays important vehicle functions like fuel range, oil life and engine hours where the driver can read them.

On cargo vans, you have total control. You can keep it simple—even leave out the radio if you want. Or you can go high–tech with options like the available Chevrolet Wi–Fi by Autonet Mobile†, which gives you reliable Internet access inside your van and up to a 150–foot radius outside, allowing you to run your Express like a mobile office.

Working in conjunction with the StabiliTrak®, the available Trailer Sway Control feature helps you stay on track. Auto grade braking, standard on Express 6–speed, heavy–duty transmissions, automatically downshifts to help slow the truck when you apply the brakes while descending long, steep grades.

During

Express Passenger Vans and 1500 Cargo Vans come standard with head–curtain side–impact air bags†. Available on 2500 and 3500 Cargo Van.
