A reflection of its heritage, designed for the present, a future piece of automotive history. By its very nature, every Camaro special edition is a consecration of a moment in the Camaro story, whether it's the 1967 Indy Pace Car Replica or the 2012 45th Anniversary Edition. This is not an equal-opportunity vehicle. It's a machine bought out of love, devotion, passion and the pinnacle of enthusiasm for an automotive brand.
The first Camaro special edition was born on the track. But it's become much more. Each model highlights different aspects of what it means to be a Camaro. The Neiman Marcus edition is pure luxury and design. Synergy Series is sporty and aggressive. And the Indy Pace Car Replica? That's a grand tradition that continues to this day.
Just as the "Transformers" movies have become a blockbuster series, the Camaro Transformers editions are now an iconic series in their own right. In conjunction with the summer 2011 release of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," Chevrolet announced the 2012 Transformers Special Edition. Offered on the top two trim levels — 2LT and 2SS — the 2012 Transformers edition only improves upon the already immensely popular 2010 model.
The 2012 Transformers look starts with a stripe design consistent with the actual "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" Bumblebee model: Rally Yellow exterior paint with exclusive Carbon-Fiber-like Weave rally stripes that travel on each side of the hood bulge, roof, decklid and spoiler. In addition, this model also includes side gill decal stripes, a look borrowed from the iconic 2011 Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica.
2012 marks both the 100th anniversary of the Chevrolet brand and the 45th anniversary of Camaro. The 45th Anniversary Special Edition, offered on the two top trim levels — 2LT and 2SS — and for both coupe and convertible styles, commemorates Camaro's lineage and its 21st Century revival.
The exterior signature of the 45th Anniversary Special Edition is its unique hood and decklid stripes in red and gray that contrast with the Carbon Flash Metallic paint, as well as badges located beneath the front fender emblems. Deep silver foglamp and taillamp bezels and 20-inch wheels(4) add to this edition’s powerful, high-end look. And the commemorative spirit continues in the interior with the 45th Anniversary logo on the Jet Black, leather-appointed seats, steering wheel and sill plates, and red, white and blue stitching on the seats, steering wheel, shift knob.
The 2012 Honor and Valor model is a Camaro SS with unique design elements that pay tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces, including a limited edition Honor Badge. Other features include dealer-installed Upper Grille Insert, side stripes, premium floor mats, painted ground effects, and SiriusXM Radio® with one-year trial(3).
The Camaro Honor and Valor model is available only to buyers actively serving in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. Less than 100 of these vehicles are being produced, in Victory Red, Summit White and Black exterior color choices.
The seventh time Camaro has paced the Indy 500®. The only one to pace the 100th anniversary of "the greatest spectacle in racing." The 2011 Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500® Pace Car Replica captures a moment in the history of Camaro — and the history of automotive racing itself.
Each of the 500 2011 Indy 500® Pace Car Replica models includes all of the standard features of the 2SS Camaro with the RS Appearance Package, plus 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, white grille, unique Indianapolis 500® decal and badging, Inferno Orange engine cover and interior with white appliqués and orange stripes on the instrument panel. The headrests are embossed with the Indy 500® logo.

For the 2010 holiday season, Chevrolet partnered with retailer Neiman Marcus to create a special edition sports car for the most discerning driver. Fully loaded for the ultimate in luxury, design and performance, the 2011 Neiman Marcus Edition Camaro Convertible was limited to a production run of under 100 vehicles, and featured in the exclusive Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.
The 2SS convertible Neiman Marcus edition showcases a host of exclusive features, including tri-coat exterior paint in Deep Bordeaux with ghosted stripes and 21-inch polished aluminum wheels(4) wrapped in Pirelli PZero™ ultra-high-performance tires. The richly appointed interior in Amber leather has Brilliant Red accents on the center console, steering wheel and shift knob. Powerful design elements like the LED halo-ring headlamps give the Neiman Marcus edition a commanding presence.
At the SEMA show in November 2010, Chevrolet announced that, based on the success of the 2010 Synergy special edition, Synergy Series would become an annual special edition Camaro. While the 2010 was a single offering, with a Synergy Green exterior and 1LT trim level, the 2011 Camaro Synergy Special Edition presents a lot more choices: three exterior colors — Summit White, Black and Victory Red — and either coupe or convertible 2LT or 2SS trim levels with the RS Exterior Appearance Package.
Less than 400 of the 2011 Synergy were produced. Standard features include the Chevrolet Accessories Ground Effects Package, Silver Hood and Decklid Heritage Decal Package, with the addition of red Brembo® brake calipers on 2SS models. Twenty-inch flangeless painted aluminum wheels are standard, with the option of dealer-installed 21-inch wheels(4) with silver Blade inserts and red flange stripe.
The XM® Accessory Appearance Package was introduced at 2010 SEMA, displaying both concept and production design cues. The production version of the package was introduced in 2011. The package was designed to offer new accessory and appearance options on the affordable Camaro 1LT model, with a popular price point around $30,000(1).
The XM® package includes SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with one-year trial(3). Its dramatic design includes several Chevrolet Accessories features: a unique grille, 21" polished wheels(4), silver bodyside graphics, and premium floor mats with "CAMARO" badging.
When the first "Transformers" movie was setting box office records in 2007, fans were asking how they could purchase the Bumblebee Camaro. The yellow Camaro with black stripes had become iconic. So, in 2010, Chevrolet revealed much-anticipated Camaro Transformers Special Edition. The car was available as a Rally Yellow LT or SS model, with the RS Appearance Package as an added option.
The Camaro Transformers Special Edition includes Autobot® shields on the front fenders, wheel center caps, and embroidered on the interior center console lid. The "Transformers" logo appears on the driver and passenger door sill plates, and is shown on the hood rally stripes in a tone-on-tone fashion.
In 1967, Camaro paced its first Indianapolis 500® Mile Race and the story of the Camaro special edition was born with the release of the first Chevrolet Camaro Indianapolis 500® Pace Car Limited Edition. The 2010 Indy 500® Pace Car was the fifth time Chevrolet has offered a Camaro pace car replica. The others were in 1969, 1982 and 1993.
Limited to a production run of 250 vehicles, the 2010 replica includes all the features on a top-of-the-line, regular production Camaro SS, including a 400-hp 6.2L V8 engine, but adds additional features unique to the actual pace car. Unmistakable pace car additions include the 2010 Indianapolis 500® event logo decal on both doors and embroidered on the driver and passenger headrests, and event logo badges on the front fender.

Bold exterior colors are an important part of the Camaro story. Historic colors like Hugger Orange, Daytona Yellow and Rally Green are memorable — and highly sought after.
The Synergy Green exterior color was first previewed at SEMA 2009. The 2010 Camaro Synergy Special Edition production model is accented by Cyber Gray Rally Stripes running the length of the hood and rear deck, and the color scheme is mirrored on the interior, with Synergy Green instrument panel, door inserts and stitching. Exterior features include a standard rear spoiler and 19-inch painted wheels wrapped with P245/50R19 tires.
