He has made 68 starts in the NASCAR Busch Series scoring three top-five and six top-10 finishes. He picked up his best career Busch Series finish, second, at Kansas in 2002. In addition, he has seven Nextel Cup Series starts with a best finish of 17th coming in 2005 at Talladega Superspeedway. His best finish in two NCTS starts in 2005 was 17th coming at Fontana and he won the pole for the 2005 Daytona NCTS event, his first ever start in the series. Earnhardt lays claim to four ARCA Re/Max Series victories.
He began driving professionally at the age of 18 and worked his way to the top ranks by battling tough late model stock car competitors throughout the Southeastern section of the United States.
