BIOGRAPHY
Dennis Setzer is anticipating great things in his sixth season as a driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series™ (NCTS). After two straight runner-up finishes in the season-ending point standings, the series veteran and the No. 85 Chevrolet E85 FlexFuel Silverado team are poised to again be one of the top contenders for the coveted championship trophy.
Setzer posted impressive stats in 2005 as he battled for the championship with four wins, bringing his NCTS career total to 16. He claimed ten top-five and 13 top-ten finishes.
His NCTS record boasts being the only driver to win a race in eight consecutive seasons. He also holds the record for winning from the worst starting position of a NCTS winner, (33rd) at Martinsville in 2002.
Before he made the switch to Craftsman Trucks, Setzer had success in the NASCAR Busch Series™ and late model stock cars. In the NASCAR Busch Series™, he has won two races and a pole position and earned more than $700,000 in race winnings.
