This Vortec^® 4.8L V8 engine can operate on either regular unleaded gasoline, E85¹ or any combination of both. With Variable Valve Timing to help optimize performance, this tough, iron-block V8 performs whether you are hauling, towing or cruising. Matched to the proven electronically controlled Hydra-Matic^® 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, this 4.8L V8 produces 302 hp @ 5600 rpm and 305 lb-ft of torque @ 4600 rpm.
