3.6L DOHC V6 DI engine with Variable Valve Timing

Impala^® is powered by the 3.6L direct-injected V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT). This powerplant delivers up to 305 hp @ 6800 rpm and 264 lb-ft of torque @ 5200 rpm. DI stands for Direct Injection, which enhances fuel economy¹ and improves vehicle performance. VVT works by optimizing combustion as well as enhancing low-end torque and high-end power while controlling emissions.
