Last January, Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray, a stunning instrument of precision that went on to become the industry’s most awarded car of the year. This January 13, at the North American International Auto Show, Chevrolet revealed the car that launches the seventh-generation Corvette into supercar territory.
A special event kicked things off live from the NAIAS, followed by the big reveal of the Z06. At the same time, Chevrolet also unveiled the C7.R, the Corvette race car developed in tandem with the all-new 2015 Corvette Z06. Watch the reveal event below to learn everything Z06 has to offer.
This world-class supercar is the closest link yet between the Corvette race car and production model. Created to elevate the driving experience to the next level, Z06 was engineered to be lightweight, with an aluminum space frame, carbon-fiber hood and removable carbon-fiber roof panel. It was also designed to be powerful, with a supercharged 6.2L aluminum V8 engine delivering at least 625 horsepower† and 635 lb.-ft. of torque. Available early 2015.
