Because your lifestyle includes everything from surfing to biking to snowboarding to canoeing, Equinox features an available roof rack. The side rails, standard on LT and LTZ, are factory–installed and the available cross bows are dealer–installed on LT and standard on LTZ. The available Hitch Trailering Package, a dealer–installed accessory, increases towing to 3500 lbs. on models equipped with the available V6 engine5.
What's more, Equinox has Trailer Sway Control (TSC), that's part of the standard StabiliTrak® system. If TSC detects the trailer is swaying, the vehicle's brakes are automatically applied. When TSC is applying the brakes, an indicator light flashes to notify the driver to reduce speed. If the trailer continues to sway, StabiliTrak will reduce engine torque to help slow the vehicle.

There's nothing optional about safety and Chevy Equinox is equipped with features designed to protect you and your loved ones, such as the standard four–wheel antilock brake system with Electronic Brake Force distribution.
