The available Vortec 6.0L V8 generates 366 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque and features Active Fuel Management ™ technology, which provides seamless transition from eight cylinders to four and back again, with both power and efficiency. This powertrain also includes Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology that optimizes combustion, enhances low-end torque and high-end power, promotes fuel efficiency, and helps lower emissions.

The Vortec 6.0L V8 engine is available on 3LT and LTZ models.

For consistently smooth shifts, the heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission features an input speed sensor and Transmission Control Module that optimize shift quality based on driver input. And Dexron VI transmission fluid helps provide long-term reliability and durability.
