Avalanche is the most flexible vehicle out there, thanks to the GM-exclusive Midgate. With unsurpassed cargo box versatility, it offers numerous features specifically designed to manage your cargo. Two-tier loading capability allows you to transport cargo on both the top and bottom parts of the eight-foot-two-inch-long cargo box. And, with the cover in place, the tailgate up, and the Midgate upright or lowered, Avalanche provides a secure storage area — and the largest trunk in the industry(1).

Six integrated cargo tie-downs are available for securing cargo. Plus, the two rear tie-downs can be used as grab handles to allow you easy access to the cargo box.

In addition, a clever lighting system in the cargo box features a light on the driver side that illuminates both the cargo box and driver-side top-box storage unit. And you can lock or unlock the cargo box using the key fob.
