Head-curtain side-impact air bags,(1) mounted to the roof rail, are designed to reduce the risk of head injuries to front- and outboard rear-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. They're standard on every Cobalt model.

1 Head-curtain side-impact air bags are designed to help reduce the risk of head and neck injuries to front and rear seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even with air bags. Children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat. See the Owner's Manual for more safety information.
