Driver Information Center
Located on the instrument panel, the standard Driver Information Center (DIC) continuously monitors and reports on numerous vehicle functions, including:
- BRAKE SERVICE REQUIRED
- ABS SERVICE REQUIRED
- BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE
- LOW OIL PRESSURE
- LOW TRACTION
- REDUCED ENGINE POWER
- CHANGE ENGINE OIL
- COOLANT TEMPERATURE HOT
- ENGINE HOT — TURN OFF A/C
- SERVICE VEHICLE SOON
- FUEL LEVEL LOW
- DOOR AJAR
- TURN SIGNAL ON
- LOW TIRE PRESSURE
It also includes the GM Oil Life Monitor that tracks driving patterns to indicate when the vehicle's oil should be changed. Maintenance needs vary with different uses and driving conditions. See the Owner's Manual for more information.
