Insta-Trac 4x4 System
Off-road adventures or just plain bad weather may require 4x4 capability, and with Insta-Trac (on 4x4 models only), you can shift from 2WD to 4x4 HI and back with just the touch of a button.
There are three drive settings to choose from:
- 2HI: for driving on most streets and highways
- 4HI: engages the front axle to help drive your vehicle and can be used when you need extra traction, such as when driving in snow or in most off-road situations
- 4LO: engages the front axle to provide extra traction and sends sends maximum power to all four wheels
In addition, Insta-Trac also includes a Neutral setting that enables Colorado to be dinghy-towed.
