Remote Vehicle Starter System

Impala LT, LTZ and SS models feature a standard remote vehicle starter system, which operates from up to 200 feet away. With the touch of a button on the remote key fob, you can conveniently start the engine. It also features climate control to automatically warm up or cool down the interior of your car before you enter. It even defrosts the rear window and outside mirrors (if equipped), based on the outside temperature.

Here's how the system works during a remote-start situation:

• If it's above 90º outside, the air conditioning blower turns on full cold mode.
• If it's below 37º outside, warm air is directed to the windshield to start defrosting it, and the heater turns to full hot mode.
• If it's between 37º and 90º outside, Impala uses different settings to bring the cabin temperature to a comfortable zone.
