The ECOTEC 2.4L DOHC four-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) is standard in and LT and available on LTZ.(1) The engine generates 169 horsepower at 6400 rpm. The engine on LS and LT is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting and has an EPA estimated MPG 22 city, 30 highway. The engine on LTZ is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
