Onstar

With OnStar,(1) you have the peace of mind knowing that you have immediate access to a network of live advisors 24/7 for any emergency. One push of the red Emergency button gives your call priority status into an Advisor who can contact emergency service providers and direct help to your exact location.

Most 2008 Chevy vehicles feature Automatic Crash Response which enables sensors in your vehicle to automatically alert an OnStar Advisor if your vehicle has encountered a crash — regardless of whether the air bags(2) have deployed or not. An OnStar Advisor can immediately call into your vehicle to ask if you are okay. Emergency help is immediately sent to your exact location — even if you are unable to ask for it. AACN technology also provides critical crash information to the Advisor, who relays this to emergency responders so they are better prepared to treat you. All OnStar-equipped Chevy vehicles also have Automatic Air Bag Notification Deployment, which alerts an OnStar Advisor to call into your vehicle if one of your vehicle’s air bags deploy and can send emergency assistance.

2 Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active air bag. See the Owner’s Manual for child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
