Daytime Running Lamps
Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) are reduced-intensity lights on the front of vehicles that automatically illuminate when a vehicle is started. They make the vehicle easier to see, by other drivers and pedestrians, in a variety of daytime conditions including fog, rain, dusk, and bright sunlight.
The most important advantage of DRLs is the potential for reducing crashes and injuries, and saving lives.
