The Crossover That's Beautifully Accommodating

Once in a while, a crossover comes along that has it all — a beautifully designed exterior, generously appointed interior and a highway fuel economy that offers 24 MPG (FWD)3. And let's not forget roominess — Traverse offers a true third row that seats grown-ups comfortably. Add to all this 2012 Traverse's 5-Star4 Overall Vehicle Score, and you've got a crossover vehicle that accommodates your needs beautifully.

Exterior
The Crossover Worth Crossing Over For

You would be right to consider the Chevrolet Traverse a masterpiece. Its sleek exterior serves as a testament to the engineers who crafted our crossover into sheer beauty. Details like angular taillamps and the dual-port grille give Traverse a distinctive look, while a number of features help you out on the road. Speaking of the road, Traverse rolls along in style with standard 17" wheels on LS, 18" aluminum wheels on LT and 20" aluminum wheels on LTZ.

Interior
Be Utilitarian Without Looking Utilitarian

Tasteful design and high-quality materials give Traverse a very comfortable interior. Depending on which model you choose, you can outfit your Traverse with optional eight-way power driver seats, leather-appointed first- and second-row seats, heated and cooled front seats, outside driver's and inside rearview auto-dimming mirrors and a power liftgate. There's even an available SkyScape power front sunroof and fixed rear skylight.

Full-Size Third Row

Traverse is remarkably spacious, with seating for up to eight passengers and a standard third row that's comfortable for grown-ups. It's also easy to get to, thanks to the Smart Slide® second-row seat. A one-hand movement sends it into motion, quickly sliding it out of the way, helping passengers to easily exit or enter the third row.

Cargo Space

Traverse has more space than you'll find in many full-size SUVs. In fact, Traverse has the most cargo space in its class. The available split-folding seats in the second5 and third rows give you the flexibility to adapt the vehicle on the fly. You'll even find more space behind the third row — more than any competitor, including the 2012 Ford Explorer.

Passenger Comfort

We thought of small details — 10 or 12 cup holders throughout the cabin depending on seat configuration — and big details — like large door handles that are easy to reach. And every Traverse comes with rear air vents so everyone can stay more comfortable, no matter where they're sitting.

Efficiency

Fuel Economy That Takes You Up To 520 Highway Miles3

Traverse lets you go farther between fill-ups, thanks to an estimated 17 MPG city/24 highway, giving you a range of up to 520 highway miles3. What's more, the standard Direct Injection 3.6L V6 engine in LS and LT delivers 281 horsepower, while it delivers 288 horsepower in LTZ. That's ample power to merge with confidence in highway traffic.

Power and Fuel Efficiency

Traverse gives you the power to carry up to 8 people or haul the maximum amount of cargo in its class on a regular basis, and do it efficiently. The Direct Injection 3.6L V6 engine with standard six-speed automatic transmission provides quiet shifting and smooth acceleration while contributing to impressive highway fuel economy — an estimated 24 MPG (FWD)3.
