Head-curtain side-impact air bags,(1) mounted to the roof rail, are designed to reduce the risk of head injuries to front- and outboard rear-seat occupants on the near side of certain side-impact collisions. They're standard in every Cobalt model.1 Always use safety belts and the correct restraint for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat.
