Most Chevrolet models come with OnStar(2) standard for one year
Every Corvette provides peace of mind with OnStar(1) (standard for one year) with nine safety and security services. An OnStar Advisor is always ready to help in a variety of situations, whether you've locked your keys your car(2) or have a flat tire. And with Automatic Crash Response, built-in sensors can automatically alert an OnStar Advisor who is immediately connected in to your vehicle and can request emergency help be sent to your determined location.

The ZR1(1) is powered by a 6.2 Liter aluminum-block V8 boosted by an Eaton® TVS™ (Twin Vortices Series) supercharger for a total power output of 638 hp at 6500 rpm and 604 lb.-ft. of torque at 3800 rpm. It is the most powerful motor ever to occupy the engine bay of a General Motors production car.
The supercharger features four lobes instead of the usual three for higher power and efficiency. It also features an intercooler to cool down the airflow charge for more power. In addition, nozzles squirt cooling oil into the underside of each piston.
The engine also features a dual-pressure fuel injection system for peak performance during multiple operating conditions.
Like the LS7 engine in the Z06, the LS9 features titanium connecting rods and exhaust valves as well as a dry-sump oil system with a larger capacity reservoir - now 10.5 quarts. The LS9 is hand-assembled at the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
ZR1(1) employs Brembo® brakes, which feature carbon ceramic matrix rotors for excellent heat dissipation. The advantages are superior friction and thermal properties. Unlike the carbon rotors on a race car, these rotors do not need to be hot in order to work effectively. The vented and cross drilled rotors measure 15.5 inches (394mm) in diameter in the front and 15 inches (380mm) in the rear - making them among the largest carbon ceramic rotors available on any production vehicle. While large in size, they are also low in mass, saving approximately 11 lbs. per rotor over comparable cast-iron units. Like the Z06, the ZR1 features six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers. The front brakes utilize a single pad measuring 148 sq. cm. (22.9 sq. in.) in surface area - double the 70 sq. cm. (10.9 sq. in.) pad size of Z06.
ALUMINUM FRAME WITH MAGNESIUM ROOF STRUCTURE AND ENGINE CRADLE
Z06 and ZR1(1) achieve a power-to-weight ratio of 6.3 lbs. per hp for Z06 and 5.2 lbs. per hp for ZR1, in part because of their lightweight yet strong aluminum frames combined with their magnesium roof structure and engine cradle. The aluminum structure weighs only 278 pounds — that’s 136 pounds less than coupe. The structure includes full-length hydroformed aluminum rails to provide exceptional strength and dimensional accuracy.
The low beams are a xenon high intensity discharge projector lamp, coupled with tungsten-halogen high beams. At 900 lumens, the headlamps provide significant forward lighting power. The low beams also have a spread pattern that is wider than conventional headlamps.

See why the 2009 Corvette lets you play by your rules.
PLAY BY YOUR RULES Some lead, some follow. Corvette has followed its own formula as an American original since 1953. Corvette coupe, convertible and Z06 have steadily grown in stature amid the world hierarchy of great, quality automobiles. As Corvette godfather Zora Arkus-Duntov once said, "All Corvettes are performance cars — the difference is in degree." Since the dawn of the sixth generation, we have seen the coupe, convertible and, later, the Z06 that was codeveloped with a Le Mans–winning racer. Now, Corvette's bandwidth expands even further with the return of the Corvette ZR1.1 Its supercharged LS9 V8 develops 638 hp and 604 lb.-ft. of torque, contributing to a test-track top speed of 205 mph — a stunning new performance benchmark for a GM production car. All 2009 Corvette models are backed by the best coverage in America: a 100,000 mile/5-year2 transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty plus Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation Programs.

Always use safety belts and the correct restraint for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag. See the Owner's Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
