Every Traverse comes with six standard air bags:(1)

• Dual-stage frontal air bags (with right-front Passenger Sensing System) sense the severity of a crash, then determine if the air bags should be deployed and whether a full or less-than-full amount of inflation should be used. The GM Passenger Sensing System is designed to help reduce the potential for inflation-induced injuries or fatalities to smaller occupants, including children, who may not be seated properly in front of an active air bag. The system automatically switches the right-front passenger air bag on or off based on the passenger's weight and the type of pressure on the seat
• Head-curtain side-impact air bags for front and rear outboard seating positions are mounted to the roof rails to help protect all three rows. They're designed to reduce the risk of head injuries to front-seat and rear outboard occupants in certain side-impact collisions
• Front-seat-mounted, side-impact thorax/pelvic air bags for driver and front passenger are designed to help protect an adult's chest in a serious side-impact crash

All 2009 Chevy vehicles registered in the U.S.A. come with a bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and are covered for 3 years/36,000 miles.(1) The complete vehicle is covered, including tires, towing to your nearest Chevrolet dealership and cosmetic corrosion resulting from defects. Repairs will be made to correct any vehicle defect, and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. In addition, rust-through corrosion will be covered for 6 years/100,000 miles.(1)

OnStar(1) with a one-year Directions & Connections Plan is standard when you purchase or lease a Traverse. Included in this plan is Turn-by-Turn Navigation(2) — the simplest and smartest navigation system. Just press the OnStar button and tell your destination to an Advisor. The route will be downloaded to your vehicle, and an automated voice will guide you through every turn until you arrive at your destination. Turn-by-Turn Navigation makes stopping to ask for directions, fumbling with maps and printing out directions a thing of the past. And it allows you to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel to help get you to your destination safely.

With OnStar Automatic Crash Response, if you're in a crash, built-in vehicle sensors can automatically alert an OnStar Advisor who is immediately connected to your vehicle and can request emergency help to be sent to your determined location.

Eight-passenger seating, included in LS and 1LT and available in 2LT, features first-row bucket seats and second- and third-row bench seats.

Seven-passenger seating, standard in 2LT and LTZ and available in 1LT, is highlighted by first-row bucket seats, second-row captain's chairs and a third-row bench seat.

In either case, the bench seats comfortably accommodate up to three adults, and the SmartSlide second-row seats allow easy access to the third row.
