Better fuel economy than a standard six-cyclinder Toyota Camry or Honda Accord.

Silverado Hybrid — America's first Two-Mode Hybrid full-size pickup — offers an EPA estimated 21 MPG city. That's better than a standard six–cylinder Toyota Camry or Honda Accord(1). And overall, Silverado offers the best fuel economy of any full–size pickup in America: 22 MPG highway.

    Two-mode hybrid technology.
    0
    0

The Two–Mode Hybrid system delivers seamless, dependable power on demand by using a combination of electric and gas engine power. You get plenty of muscle from the engine when you need it. When you're cruising along on the highway, the electric motor works with the gas engine to offer better highway fuel economy. Hit the brakes and you actually charge the battery through a regenerating feature in the transmission. And when you're driving around town at speeds of less than 30 miles per hour, Silverado Hybrid is able to run entirely off the electric motor, giving you fuel economy that no other full–size truck can touch(1).

Silverado Hybrid (limited availability) delivers power, pulling and payload. The standard Vortec 6.0L V8 engine generates an impressive 332 horsepower to go along with 367 lb.–ft. of torque. Need to pull a heavy load? 2WD models can trailer up to 6,100 lbs.(1). You'll also get a payload capacity of up to 1,511 lbs.(2WD)(2).

1 Maximum trailer weight ratings are calculated assuming a base vehicle, except for any option(s) necessary to achieve the rating, plus driver. The weight of other optional equipment, passengers and cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow. See your Chevy dealer for additional details.

We've been in the hybrid business for a while now. And that makes us so confident in our hybrid technology that we offer a   8–year/100,000 mile(1) limited warranty on certain hybrid components.
And like every 2010 Chevy, Silverado Hybrid is backed by the best coverage in America, starting with the Chevy 100,000 mile/5–year(1) transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty. That's   40,000 miles more than Ford F–150 or Toyota Tundra offers. When you add the 100,000 mile/5–year(1) Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation Programs, it's the best coverage in America. So just in case you need a hand, help is on the way to give your vehicle a jump or even fix a flat. That's the kind of confidence and commitment to quality that comes with every Silverado Hybrid.

    Most dependable. Longest-lasting.

If there's one thing we've learned from building trucks for over 90 years, it's that your pickup needs to be ready to go when you are. That's why we make sure dependability is ingrained in the DNA of every Silverado. And Silverado Hybrid is no exception. It's from Chevy — the   most dependable, longest–lasting full–size pickups on the road(1).

Safety before, during and, thanks to OnStar, after a collision.
    0
    0

Keeping you safe is a full–time job. What's really comforting about Chevy Silverado Hybrid is its ability to help you avoid collisions in the first place. StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control along with four–wheel antilock brakes help you stay on the road and in control. Half–ton models received the   highest possible safety rating — five stars — for frontal crash tests(1). Add a high—strength steel safety cage and six air bags(2), and you can count on Silverado to help you stay protected in a collision. New for 2010 are thorax and pelvic air bags(2) mounted on the driver and outside front passenger seats. And should the unthinkable ever occur, most Silverado models also come equipped with   OnStar with built–in Automatic Crash Response(3) standard for the first year. Built–in sensors can automatically alert an Advisor, who is immediately connected into your vehicle and can request that emergency help be sent to your   exact GPS location — even if you're unable to respond.

1 Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov).
2 Always use safety belts and the correct restraint for your child's age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag. See the Owner's Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information.
