With its 1.5L direct injected high-efficiency engine, Volt is the electric vehicle with a backup plan. It runs on an electric charge and generates additional energy through a gas-powered generator when the battery runs out —giving you the confidence to go as far as you want.

The new Volt gives you more ways than ever to charge and monitor your battery. Volt features 10 air bags† and smart sensors designed to adjust frontal air bag inflation according to the severity of a crash.
When the air bags deploy, built-in sensors can automatically alert an OnStar Advisor, who is connected to your Volt to see if you need help. Even if you don’t respond, an OnStar Advisor can use GPS technology to pinpoint your exact location and request that emergency help is sent right away.
