Must have Low Emissions Package. The Chevrolet Volt without the Low Emissions Package is not HOV eligible. Use of California’s HOV lanes with only one occupant requires a Clean Air Vehicle Sticker issued by the California DMV.

Available for purchase or lease. The tax credit is the difference between the cost of Volt and the cost of the same or most similar vehicle that uses a traditional fuel. Volt calculation: Incremental price difference of $21,580 minus the $7,500 federal tax credit equals $14,080. This times the 75% certification level for Volt is $10,560. The statutory limit, however, is $6,000. The federal tax credit and Colorado income tax credit are government incentives and are not administered by General Motors.
