- Must have Low Emissions Package. The Chevrolet Volt without the Low Emissions Package is not HOV eligible. Use of California’s HOV lanes with only one occupant requires a Clean Air Vehicle Sticker issued by the California DMV.

- Available for purchase or lease. The tax credit is the difference between the cost of Volt and the cost of the same or most similar vehicle that uses a traditional fuel. Volt calculation: Incremental price difference of $21,580 minus the $7,500 federal tax credit equals $14,080. This times the 75% certification level for Volt is $10,560. The statutory limit, however, is $6,000. The federal tax credit and Colorado income tax credit are government incentives and are not administered by General Motors.
