Currently, the Chevrolet MyLink† system only allows you to pull in stations that you’ve already created via the web or your smartphone when it is not connected to the MyLink system.
Because the iPhone®† uses a specific operating system, the Pandora app must be activated from the phone first to acquire the necessary information.
Ads help Pandora pay the bills. Free Pandora listener accounts are primarily supported by advertising to help cover the costs associated with offering a lot of great music for free. However, if you would like to enjoy an ad-free experience, a Pandora One subscription is available for a one-time yearly fee of $36.00.
If you are an OnStar subscriber and use the service to get Turn-By-Turn directions, those directions will be displayed over top of any current screen on the right-hand side. Depending on the quality of your connection, it may take the MyLink† system about 30 seconds; once complete, you're ready to listen to your show.

No, Gracenote® is technology embedded in the Chevrolet MyLink† system only, it will not fix any missing information on your MP3 player, USB drive† or iPod®/iPhone®†. However, as long as the information on your device doesn't change, that information will be in your MyLink system every time you get in your vehicle.
Gracenote® lets Chevrolet MyLink fill in information for you only if NORMALIZATION is turned ON. If you still have missing information, check your radio settings to see if NORMALIZATION is set to on. New music or less popular artists or songs may not be in the database.
Gracenote® does its best to fill any voids in your music collection's information. However, there are even some artists or album covers that Gracenote® may not be able to find because information was missing from your music files. In those rare instances, an icon of the device (iPod or USB) will be placed where the album art is usually found.
This is perfectly normal. Once a device is connected, Gracenote® starts working immediately to index the song list, and assign voice tags. While this process is happening, the Gracenote® logo will pop up on the screen, letting you know that the technology is working. The length of the indexing process will depend on the number of songs on your device.
Gracenote® assigns digital voice tags so you can access artists, albums, and genres, just by saying their name. However, some new or less popular artists may not be in the Gracenote® database. And there are times when several artists sing different versions of a song or two artists may have the same name. In this instance Gracenote® will show you list of possible matches. Select the one you want to play.
No. Gracenote is available on the 2012 Volt, 2012 Equinox and 2013 Malibu Eco. It is not available on Sonic and Spark.

While the Chevrolet MyLink system has highly accurate voice-recognition software, it recognizes a list of many commands as well as most names. However, at times there could still be names or nicknames that the system cannot recognize.
To find out how to set up and use the Enhanced Voice Control with Chevrolet MyLink view this video:
Chevrolet MyLink† has high-accuracy enhanced voice control technology, however, there are some things that could interfere with the system understanding your command. Highway speeds, open windows and high fan speeds are just some of the possible things that could interfere with MyLink understanding your exact commands. Voice-recognition with background noise is extremely challenging. To remedy this, close all windows and reduce the fan speed to a minimum and retry issuing your voice command. If this still doesn't work, it may be because you're speaking too soon. Wait for the beep, then pause a brief second before saying your command. This gives the microphone time to open and prepare itself to receive the speech signal.
Because of our speech patterns sometimes we tend to run a string of numbers together, so they may not be as clear as they need to be. You can greatly increase the accuracy of the number, by slowing down and properly enunciating each number with a slight pause between digits. If this still does not work, you can switch your Chevrolet MyLink from CONTINUOUS DIGIT MODE to DIGIT DIAL MODE, which allows you to speak each digit separately. This is the highest accuracy way of dialing via enhanced voice control.

Gracenote® is technology embedded in the Chevrolet MyLink1 system that helps you better manage and navigate your music collection on the open road. When you connect your MP3 player, USB drive3 or iPod®/iPhone®8 to the MyLink system, Gracenote® identifies your music collection and delivers the correct album, artist names, genres, and cover art on-screen. If information is missing, Gracenote® will fill in those blanks. This way you have all the information and album art for every song in your collection.
Gracenote® works behind the scenes, but you determine if you want to use it or not. To access Gracenote's Normalization, press the (A) CONFIG button or (B) CONFIG on the radio's home screen. Most of us have a certain taste in music. It's some sort of beat or rhythm that drives what we like, even if we don't realize it. Now Chevrolet MyLink1 is integrating free personalized radio into your vehicle. Pick an artist, song or genre that you like and Pandora creates your own personalized radio stations (up to 100) based on those selections and other artists and songs that are similar. Pandora gives people music they love. It's like having a DJ in your car who only plays what you like.
First, you must have the Pandora app on your smartphone and an active Pandora account. You can easily download the app from Apple's iTunes App Store7, Blackberry App World or Google Play for Android apps. Next, like most features on the Chevrolet MyLink system, you must connect your Bluetooth-enabled device4. This connection will allow the system to recognize that you have a Pandora account and app on your phone5. Once this occurs, you can either click the (A) SOURCE button on the faceplate or the radio's touch-screen, choose the (B) Pandora icon on your homepage screen or simply say, "Tune Pandora." Once your device is connected, you will receive a message that Pandora is retrieving your stations.

From here, you can navigate your stations by pressing the (C) MENU key on your touch-screen. You will see all of your previously created stations and can scroll through them with the select knob. Hit the one you want to play, and start listening to your own Pandora personalized radio station right in your vehicle.
Like a particular artist you're hearing? Chevrolet MyLink gives you access to popular Pandora features that let you bookmark a song or artist to your account. Simply press the (A) bookmark icon on the touch-screen and follow the prompts to save it, so you can learn more about it or purchase it at a later time.
Pandora gives you a feedback option to note if you like what you're hearing. Each bit of feedback helps further personalize that station to your individual taste. When a song is playing that you like, select the (A) Thumbs-Up icon. The system will store the information and the icon will have a check mark on it.
If you aren't wild about a track, simply hit the (B) Thumbs-Down icon. This will tell Pandora that you don't like what you're hearing and it will add a checkmark to the icon, then skip to the next song. That song will never be played on that station again.
Because you may not know what you specifically want to listen to, or just feel like letting Pandora do the work, you can select (A) QUICKMIX from the Pandora audio menu and the system will shuffle all your stations, creating a unique mix.

Variety is what keeps things interesting. And when you hit the open road, the last thing you want to hear is the same old thing over and over again. SiriusXM Satellite Radio2, standard for the first 90 days, gives you the biggest names in radio on over 140 channels of commercial-free music, talk, sports, news, weather and more. So no matter how far your commute is, you'll never get bored.
If you have an active SiriusXM Radio subscription, the Chevrolet MyLink1 lets you access SiriusXM's 140+ channels in a variety of ways. To get started, just touch the SiriusXM icon on the screen. Then use the (A) MENU/SEL knob to search for the station you want. You can also press the (B) PUSH TO TALK button on the steering wheel and say, "Tune XM Lithium." Or say, "Tune XM channel 54." The system will recognize the channel and quickly tune into its programming for you.

The SiriusXM radio "Now Playing" screen shows you the information for what you're listening to, such as (C) artist or show name, as well as the (D) channel name, station's logo, the (E) number of the channel and the (F) station category. To change the channel, just say a new channel name or number, use the MENU/SEL or the CHANNEL LIST on the SiriusXM Audio Menu.

SiriusXM can utilize Chevrolet MyLink's enhanced voice control software to easily access SiriusXM's 140+ channels. Just press the PUSH TO TALK button on your steering wheel and say, "Play XM" and then the channel's name or number and the system will quickly satisfy your request.
