Do most people charge at home?

More than 80% of charging happens at home. The easiest way to charge is at your home.  

What are the different ways to charge?

Level 1 – Charge anywhere there’s a 3-prong outlet. This can give you enough to cover an average daily commute of 40 miles per charge*.   


Level 2 – The fastest way to charge at home with a 240V outlet. Chevrolet offers a hassle-free 240V outlet installation provided by our exclusive provider Qmerit. This can cover an average daily commute of 40 miles in under 2 hours*, and lets you wake up to a full charge. Level 2 charging is also available at public charging stations.


DC Fast Charging – Offers accelerated charging while you’re away from home. This is available at public charging stations only. Use your maps feature in the myChevrolet Mobile App* to find charging locations in the U.S.

How do I find someone to install a home charging outlet for me?

Chevrolet has collaborated with Qmerit to provide home charging installers in your area to handle outlet installation and pulling any necessary permits required by your city or state.

How much maintenance is required for an EV vehicle? 

EVs do not require oil changes, transmission flushes, engine belt and air filter replacements or spark plugs for you to service. With features like One Pedal Driving*, you can even see reduced wear on your brakes.

Buying an EV

Why should I purchase an electric vehicle? 

You can skip the gas station and enjoy additional perks like HOV lane access (where available) and zero tailpipe emissions. Charging your vehicle at home is convenient. With available 240-volt charging, you can plug in while you sleep and, in most cases, wake up to a full charge* every day.

How are trade-in values determined? 

Your trade-in value is determined by the dealer and could vary based on many factors, including mileage, the overall condition of your vehicle, the popularity of your vehicle and current regional market conditions. Check with your dealer for details.
