With a finely tuned ride along with instant torque, you’ll catch yourself smiling every inch of every city mile. The all-new 2014 Spark EV is available to residents of Oregon and California.†
Technology
Be electric
The all-new 2014 Spark EV features a lithium-ion battery that offers gas and tail pipe emissions-free power and performance. This electric mini car utilizes some of the same cutting-edge electric power technology proven in the Chevrolet Volt, the best-selling plug-in car of 2012. Spark EV includes regenerative braking, which captures energy that would otherwise be lost while braking, decelerating or going downhill. It also offers liquid thermal conditioning, which maximizes its performance in extreme weather conditions. This provides the best performance from the battery and helps ensure its longevity. And the battery is backed by an 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty†.
Get ready for takeoff
Spark EV features an innovative electric propulsion system drive unit paired with a lithium-ion battery. Without the traditional transmission, torque has nowhere to go except directly to the tires and the road. This is why Spark EV achieves 0 to 60 mph in under 7.6 seconds. With 400 lbs.-ft of torque, the connection is direct: head, right foot, power, pavement. Tuned specifically for its electric propulsion system, Spark EV puts power in all the right places at the moment it’s needed for a sporty and responsive ride. Fun fact: this mini car is best-in-class when it comes to torque, generating more than the Ferrari 458 Italia and Porsche Carrera S. And Spark EV features a turning radius of 33.8 feet, which beats out the Mini Cooper, so parallel parking in the city is seamless and simple.
Charge it up
Three charging options for the 2014 Spark EV give drivers choices. The standard 120V cord† plugs into any household outlet. For a faster charge, the available 240V system fully charges the battery in just seven hours. Have the available 240V system installed where you park your Spark EV so you can charge at night and be good to go by morning. Professional installation is required, so visit SPX Service Solutions for more information. SAE Standard Fast Charging is the newest option and the Spark EV is proud to offer this out-of-home charging option†. The revolutionary SAE combo DC fast-charging stations will charge the battery to 80 percent in just 20 minutes. It’s the future of electric charging. Look for stations in late 2013.
No matter how you charge the Spark EV, you will feel the savings. With an average of 128 MPGe city† and 109 MPGe highway†, and an average range of 82 miles† per charge, the Spark EV brings you savings for the long haul. With an EPA estimated fuel cost savings of $9,000.00 over 5 years† compared to the average new vehicle, Spark EV owners will save an estimated $150.00 per month.
Instant feedback
Spark EV gives you instant digital feedback through a 7-inch diagonal high-resolution, full-color, configurable LCD screen in the Driver Information Center to help you get the most out of every kilowatt. Keep an eye on battery charge and how energy is being used and created. Get an accurate picture of your estimated range based on your personal driving style. You can even enhance efficiency and have a ball doing it with the Efficiency Gauge. One of the greatest factors in getting the most out of each charge is driving style, so simply keep the green ball in the center of the gauge and enjoy optimal battery efficiency.
Staying connected has never been easier with the Chevrolet MyLink† touch screen on the 2014 Spark EV 2LT.
With Chevrolet MyLink† technology, Spark is your very own command deck.
With 86.3 cubic feet of passenger space, this cabin is a big surprise.
Spark boasts 10 air bags†. Our idea of safety — it's becoming an obsession.
Spacious and stylish
The interior balances a flowing, spacious design with a get-up-and-go spirit. Features like bright electric blue color accents, chrome and available leatherette mix with a sporty cockpit vibe complete with a motorcycle-inspired instrument cluster. And with 86.3 cubic feet of passenger space, the Spark EV offers more passenger room than Scion iQ, Fiat 500 and smart fortwo. Seat four comfortably or cart your stuff around. Fold down the rear seat and have a full 23.4 cubic feet† of storage space for almost anything you need to bring with you like groceries, camping gear or your weekend get-away bag.
Quiet inside and out
Because it’s electric, Spark EV is surprisingly quiet on the outside, but due to the interior’s extensive refinement along with sealing and insulation, it’s shockingly quiet on the inside too. Get in and leave the city noise behind.
Be mobile while you’re mobile
Chevrolet Mylink† gives you access to your favorite music, media and mobile apps as well as information about electric power while you’re on the go. Turn Spark EV into an extension of your smartphone by simply connecting to the high-resolution, standard 7-inch color touch-screen radio through Bluetooth® wireless technology† or the USB port†. † and TuneIn† through the color touch-screen radio. Be an urban explorer with Siri Eyes Free†. This technology acts as your personal assistant, allowing you to complete a variety of hands-free tasks. That means you can check sports scores, retrieve text messages and much more – all while on the go. And with a standard three years of OnStar®, you’ll have access to your Spark EV from anywhere with your OnStar®RemoteLink† app. Check battery level, efficiency statistics and more on your smartphone. Access your contacts, playlists or mobile apps like Pandora®†, Stitcher SmartRadio™† and TuneIn† through the color touch-screen radio.
Information at your fingertips
If knowledge is power, then Spark EV is ready to help you take over the world – well, at least your little corner of it when you’re on the go. Not only does Spark EV offer the driver instant digital feedback in the instrument cluster, but it also provides an array of information through the center stack-mounted 7-inch diagonal color touch-screen radio. Check out exactly where power is flowing to and from the wheels, look back at the amount of energy recent trips required or program Spark EV to charge when it’s most beneficial, like when electricity is least expensive. The color touch-screen radio even includes climate control because everything seamlessly placed at your fingertips makes for an easy and enjoyable ride.
Master every route
Intricate downtown streets, one ways and roundabouts have nothing on Spark EV with BringGo† navigation. And the most affordable in-dash navigation system in its class doesn’t just get you from Point A to Point B. It also comes with you to Point C. The BringGo† app offers plenty of easy-to-use features such as 3-D maps with lane suggestions, live traffic data and other features to help you stay in the loop. Read More.
With the OnStar® Directions and Connections Plan®†,standard for the first three years with Spark EV, you can be connected with an OnStar representative who can immediately locate you and get you back on track with turn-by-turn directions sent to the 7-inch diagonal touch-screen or automated voice prompts. And for the first time, OnStar®†offers Way Point Navigation. Owners can plan their trips via the web or mobile application and OnStar will find charging station locations to keep you charged along the way.
Similar to the Chevrolet Volt, Spark EV features a prominent closed upper grille and an automatic shutter system to reduce drag and guide airflow around the vehicle. Full-length underbody panels help reduce drag while wheel deflectors and an integrated rear spoiler carry airflow around and away from the car. Its lean, muscular design put to work aerodynamically helps Spark EV splice through the air with the greatest of ease.
Turning heads and keeping it fun. The sporty profile of the 2014 Spark EV is the talk of the town.
Finally, a car meant for modern city living. Zip around town in style.

Aggressively stylish
Global collaboration between designers and engineers resulted in a mini car with a fiercely dramatic exterior design. Its grounded, confident stance gives Spark EV an energetic and confident appearance while accentuated headlamps and 15-inch wheels set it apart. Hidden rear door handles create a seamless look carried by dynamic lines across the body to the rear spoiler. Choose from five sleek exterior colors: Summit White, Silver Ice, Electric Blue, Titanium and Black Granite (an extra-cost color). City street beautification begins with Spark EV.
At Chevrolet, the safety of drivers and their passengers is a top priority. That’s why every Spark EV comes with technology that helps you stay in control, like the StabiliTrak® Electronic Stability Control System, which helps you stay on track on slippery surfaces. There’s even Hill Start Assist that helps with those steep inclines by holding the vehicle in place for a second after the brake is released to help you keep moving forward.
In the event of a collision, safety features like 10 standard air bags† help protect you and your passengers. Crucial information can be instantly relayed to the OnStar® Command Center via the OnStar Automatic Crash Response system†. At the Command Center, trained Advisors utilize GPS technology to pinpoint your exact location and can request that help be sent right away – even if you’re unable to respond. As all of this is happening, they’re in constant contact, reassuring you and updating you on the status of the situation. It’s part of OnStar Directions & Connections® Plan†, standard for the first three years on every Spark EV.
