The length of a pickup truck depends on its size, as well as cab and bed configurations. Here are the general stats for Colorado, Silverado and Silverado HD:
 

• Colorado: 213 inches
• Silverado: 211 inches–242 inches
• Silverado HD (both 2500 HD and 3500 HD): 235.5 inches–266 inches

The weight of a truck can vary depending on the type of truck and whether it's loaded or unloaded, but here are the basics:
 

• Colorado 4,310 lbs.–4,910 lbs.
• Silverado 4,410 lbs.–5,710 lbs.
• Silverado 2500 HD 6,266 lbs.–8,408 lbs.
• Silverado 3500 HD 6,403 lbs.–8,552 lbs.

The commonly accepted industry standard is that a pickup with a GVWR* over 8,500 lbs. is considered heavy duty. For federal vehicle standards:

• Light duty: 0 lbs.–10,000 lbs.
• Medium duty: 10,001 lbs.–26,000  lbs.
• Heavy duty: 26,001 lbs.–80,000 lbs.

Towing and trailering are the same thing. It is the ability of the truck to pull a trailer.

Hauling is the ability to transport cargo in the bed of the truck. All Chevy trucks are capable of hauling an adequate amount.

Silverado and Silverado HD are available as Regular Cab, Extended Cab and Crew Cab models.

Colorado and Silverado EV are available as Crew Cab models.

Colorado is available with a: 

• 5’ 1” Standard Bed

Silverado is available with a: 

• 5’ 8” Short Bed 
• 6’ 6” Standard Bed  
• 8’ 1” Long Bed

Silverado HD is available with a: 

• 6’ 8” Standard Bed  
• 8’ 1” Long Bed

Silverado EV is available with a: 

• 5’ 9” Bed without the Multi-Flex Midgate 
• 5’ 8”–10’ 10” Bed with the Multi-Flex Midgate

Silverado with the available Duramax® 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine offers best-in-class highway fuel economy: an EPA-estimated 28 mpg highway/23 city for 2WD models. Excludes other GM vehicles.

Every Chevy truck is built to tow heavy loads. Here are the maximum trailering weights for each:

Heavy-duty

• Silverado 3500 HD — 36,000 lbs.*
• Silverado 2500 HD — 22,420 lbs.*

• Silverado — 13,300 lbs.*
• Silverado EV — 12,500 lbs.*

• Colorado — 7,700 lbs.*
