What’s the difference between Stingray and Corvette?

Stingray is our most iconic Corvette nameplate. Corvette is the brand name used for the entire Chevrolet lineup of performance cars.

But Corvette is more than just a badge. It’s a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship. It’s the calling card of the pinnacle of performance. It’s American heritage, hustle and horsepower, driven exclusively by the bold.

  • The Corvette Stingray features the LT6 6.7L V8 engine that produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque.

  • The Corvette Grand Sport embodies the iconic heritage of Chevrolet performance, reborn for the modern era. Blending the power of the Stingray with the wider body, aerodynamics and track-focused features of the Z06, the Grand Sport is as capable on the track as it is on the street.

  • The Corvette Grand Sport X  is the hybrid all-wheel drive (AWD) version of the Grand Sport, the iconic American sports car.* The Grand Sport X combines the powerful, next-generation LS6 6.7L V8 engine with an electric motor for enhanced performance and all-season capability.

  • The Corvette Z06 is a high-performance, track-focused variant of the standard Corvette Stingray, designed to be a street-legal supercar. It features a more powerful engine, specialized suspension tuning, enhanced aerodynamics and upgraded components compared to the Stingray model.

The Corvette Stingray thrives as the cornerstone of the Corvette lineup. With the naturally aspirated LS6 6.7L V8 engine, this icon produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque.

Building on the same engine as the Corvette Stingray, the Corvette Grand Sport adds a wide-body chassis, enhanced aerodynamics, standard Magnetic Selective Ride Control and the available Z52 Track Performance Package, making it a more focused driver’s car.

What are the different Corvette performance packages?
