What’s the difference between Corvette and Stingray?

Corvette is the brand name used for the Chevrolet lineup of performance vehicles. Stingray is our most iconic Corvette nameplate.

What’s the difference between Corvette models?

The Corvette Stingray features the LT2 6.2L V8 engine that produces 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. With the optional performance exhaust system (part of the Z51 package), this increases to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Corvette E-Ray is the first-ever hybrid and all-wheel-drive (AWD) version of the iconic American sports car,* combining a powerful V8 engine with an electric motor for enhanced performance and all-season capability.

The Corvette Z06 is a high-performance, track-focused variant of the standard Corvette Stingray, designed to be a street-legal supercar. It features a more powerful engine, specialized suspension tuning, enhanced aerodynamics and upgraded components compared to the Stingray model.

The Corvette ZR1 is a track-focused, street-legal supercar that is exceptionally powerful and technologically advanced to optimize track capability.

The Corvette ZR1X is the ultimate, electrified hypercar version of the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette, combining a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with an electric motor for immense power (1,250 horsepower total*), all-wheel drive, and advanced track technology, making this the most advanced Corvette ever. 

What’s the difference between Corvette Stingray and Z06?

The iconic Corvette Stingray is the cornerstone of the Corvette lineup and features the LT2 6.2L V8 engine that produces 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.  The Corvette Z06 is a high-performance, track-focused variant of the standard Corvette Stingray that features a more powerful engine, specialized suspension tuning, enhanced aerodynamics and upgraded components.
