How Energy Pass works
Energy Pass streamlines the public charging process by eliminating the need for multiple public charging station apps. Instead, you can use the Energy Pass feature in your vehicles mobile
In addition to providing easy access to a growing number of charging stations, Energy Pass also allows you to:
- Use Plug & Charge functionality for instant charging at compatible stations.
- View your vehicle’s available battery level.
- Set a Target Charge Level by battery percentage or time limit.
- Review your recent charging details, including location, duration and cost, in Transaction History.
- Enjoy
promotional* DC fast charging rates at select locations.
Can I use Energy Pass with my vehicle?
Energy Pass is available for all GM EVs. The feature can be accessed through your vehicle’s mobile
How to create your Energy Pass account
First, you must have an active GM account and be logged in to your vehicle’s mobile
- Open the myChevrolet
app* and select the "Activate Energy Pass" widget on the Home screen. - Tap “Get Started” to proceed.
- Add or select your payment method on file, then tap “Activate.”
After account activation is complete, you’ll be redirected to where you can order an approved NACS Adapter, if needed. If you already have an approved adapter, you can return to your vehicle’s mobile
If you are an existing user, you may need to ensure you have Plug & Charge access turned on.
- Open your myChevrolet mobile app.
- Click on your initials in the upper right corner.
- Select Energy Pass in the drop-down menu.
- Click on "included networks" and select the network with supported Plug & Charge.
- Toggle on Plug & Charge.
How to use Energy Pass for public charging
- Open your vehicle’s mobile
app* and select the Map button to view nearby EV charging stations.
Use the search bar to locate specific compatible stations.
Select Plan Route for directions to a station.
Select Send To to open a station’s location in another navigation app. - Drive to the chosen public charging station using your chosen navigation method.
- If Plug & Charge is enabled, your vehicle will charge automatically when connected to a compatible station.
- If Plug & Charge is not enabled, you will need to start your charging session manually in the vehicle’s mobile
app* or using the station controls once connected to a compatible station.
For your security, please don’t include personal info such as phone number, address or credit card details.
