As the calendar shifted from summer to fall, the stars of NHRA drag racing descended on Concord, North Carolina, for the 2024 edition of the Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway. In both the Pro and Sportsman ranks, Team Chevy racers put their stamp on “America’s Home for Racing.”

Austin Prock drove his John Force Racing Camaro SS to his seventh Funny Car win of 2024 in the Carolina Nationals.

In Sunday eliminations, John Force Racing (JFR) Funny Car driver Austin Prock claimed his seventh victory of the 2024 season and third in a row. In the final round, he turned in  a 3.924-second blast at 326.48 mph in his Camaro SS. In his first season piloting a Funny Car, Prock sits atop the point standings with four races remaining in the Countdown to the Championship.

“I’m so proud to drive this Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car,” Prock said. “This is a dream come true.”

Along the way, Prock defeated his JFR and Team Chevy teammate Jack Beckman in the semifinal round. Beckman is filling in for the legendary John Force as he recovers from injuries sustained earlier in the year. Despite having been out of the seat for close to four years, Beckman has returned strong with one final-round appearance already to his credit.

In Top Fuel, JFR’s Brittany Force made a blistering 3.690-second pass at 334.34 mph in her Chevrolet dragster on Friday to claim the No. 1 qualifying position in the category. She raced to the second round on Sunday.

Chevrolet Sportsman competitors also put their stamp on the weekend at zMAX Dragway.

In the Chevrolet-heavy Pro Stock class, Dallas Glenn bested Aaron Stanfield in an all-Camaro SS final. Glenn grabbed his 13th career Pro Stock win with a 6.626-second lap at 207.18 mph to best Stanfield’s 6.630 at 207.75 in a close race.

Among the additional Chevrolet highlights was Tim Barrett racing his G/SA 1969 Camaro to the Stock Eliminator victory.

Throughout the event, dozens of racers featuring Chevrolet power graced the pristine grounds of zMAX Dragway. Below is a photo gallery from the three-day event featuring the Best of the Bowtie.
